My Journey
Explore how I entered the world of video editing, the tools I use and where I’m heading next.
How It Started
My admiration for computers began at university. It was my first step toward the world of design and graphics. I realised there’s a difference between knowing about a program and actually using it—so I began testing myself with different graphics applications.
After graduating a new phase started: discovering the internet. It opened a world of tutorials and resources. I constantly search for lessons on Google and YouTube because self‑learning is an exciting way to teach yourself something new. It’s hard to forget the experience you gain through your own efforts.
The Actual Start (2007)
As I mentioned in my profile page, after graduation the real beginning started. Days, months and years passed—and in 2007 I made my first video using Windows Movie Maker. This was my first true step into video editing. I enjoyed using Movie Maker and then searched for other programs to create better videos. I found that each program had unique features, so I often blended more than one program together to realise an idea.
Years went by and, with God’s grace, my work began to be broadcast on channels such as Aghapy Channel (leading), Me Sat, Coptic Sat, Al Karma TV, Al Horreya TV, GSN TV, Grace TV and ABC TV. I hope for more success in the future.
